For three years now, I’ve had the absolute privilege of receiving women’s nudes daily, and you know what I’ve learned? We're so damn similar—crazy similar. It’s wild to me that we don’t talk about this more.
*Cue every parent ever... “What makes you different makes you beautiful.”*
I’m all for individuality, but lately, I’ve found the most comfort as a woman in recognising how alike we actually are, not our uniqueness. Every time I sketch FDN canvases, my hand traces the same shapes and patterns. We’re all going through it—body image, insecurities, those stories we’ve been taught to hide. The power comes in sharing, in realizing the woman across from you has been there too.
I want to know more women deeply. I want to sit down, hear your stories, laugh, cry, and connect. I have a feeling you might want that too.
So, here it is—a project that brings together two of my loves: FDN Events and Yeehaw Girls Club, both built with one mission in mind—to empower the heck'n heck out of women.
I’m looking for women willing to share their stories, whether they’re big, small, hilarious, or heartbreaking. You’ll be interviewed, recorded, and painted, with your story and body featured at my upcoming exhibition and across various social platforms. Is that you? You can apply here.
I don't have a name for this project yet because it feels wrong to name it before we've properly met.
